Meet the Team at Bright Eyes Needham

Dr. Yos Priestley is an optometrist with over a decade of clinical experience dedicated to helping patients achieve clear, comfortable, and efficient vision. She founded Bright Eyes Needham on a simple but powerful belief: that exceptional eye care should be both clinically excellent and patient-centered.

Dr. Priestley earned her undergraduate degree in Biology at Lehigh University before graduating as valedictorian of her class at the New England College of Optometry. She then completed a pediatric residency with advanced clinical training at Perkins School for the Blind, Boston Medical Center, and Tufts Floating Hospital for Children. Following residency, she spent more than a decade on faculty at Duke Eye Center, providing comprehensive eye care while teaching and mentoring the next generation of eye care providers.

At Bright Eyes Needham, Dr. Priestley provides comprehensive eye health evaluations for adults and children, monitoring for conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease — because protecting long-term vision is just as important as seeing clearly today. Her approach goes well beyond routine vision screening, evaluating how the eyes function together across the full range of daily life - reading, learning, sports, and screen use - because she knows that clear sight and comfortable, efficient vision aren't always the same thing. Her specialties include myopia management, specialty contact lenses and Ortho-K, binocular vision disorders, and vision therapy.

A Massachusetts native, Dr. Priestley returned to the Boston area to open Bright Eyes Needham and serve the communities where she grew up. She lives in Dover with her husband and their four children, and enjoys hiking, reading, photography, and exploring New England with her family.
