Eye focusing, also known as accommodation, is the ability of the eyes to adjust their focusing power so that objects at different distances appear clear. The eye's natural lens changes shape to help focus light clearly on the retina. When looking at something nearby, the lens becomes more rounded to increase focusing power. When looking farther away, the lens relaxes toward a flatter shape.
